NANIS was founded in 1990 by Piero Marangon and Laura Bicego. Laura is a second-generation goldsmith, having grown up in a family of jewelers. (Her brother is Marco Bicego.)

Laura's vision for NANIS was to craft beautiful jewelry for today's modern woman -- at once light and versatile, elegant and sophisticated. She developed her iconic Transformista collection nearly 30 years ago, and it remains just as revolutionary today as it was then.

Furthermore, other collections feature 'gold pearls' -- gold that mimics the shape of pearls but are hand-engraved to create a finish akin to satin. The finished look is sensual and lustrous, like a romantic dinner by candlelight.
