GOING BEYOND THE ENGAGEMENT RING PURCHASE

Henne Jewelers has served the Pittsburgh region faithfully for more than 130 years. Our mission is to enhance and strengthen relationships, and for us that goes beyond jewelry purchases.

Many of our customers first come to us when they are in a relationship and moving toward engagement. We enjoy learning more about their love story and helping to find them (or create) their dream engagement ring. We celebrate their special moment and get excited hearing about wedding plans. But we also go one step farther to support our couples with the To Have and To Hold Program.

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD PROGRAM

The To Have and To Hold Program has two key components:

  1. Every couple who shops at Henne for engagement rings (whether there’s a purchase or not) receives a free copy of Gary Chapman’s book, “Things I Wish I’d Known Before I Got Married”.
  2. Every engaged couple who goes through premarital counseling and can provide documentation/proof will receive $100 off their wedding band purchase.

HOW THE PROGRAM STARTED

The Henne family has always been involved in philanthropic work outside of the store, but John sought a way to incorporate philanthropy into the business as well, and by extension to create positive change in our society.

During an encounter with a friend, it became clear to John that Henne needed to support couples as they prepare for marriage. And so the To Have and To Hold Program came into being

CONTINUING TO SUPPORT COUPLES

We are currently working to expand the program to support couples as they experience life and marriage together, whether it’s the first year, 5 years, or 25 years. Future possibilities include tickets to attend Pittsburgh marriage retreats or conferences, articles and resources that work to strengthen marriages, and more.
