JOHN HARDY: SUSTAINABLE LUXURY SINCE 1975

From Bali, with love

Canadian artist John Hardy traveled to Bali in the mid-1970s, where he fell in love with traditional jewelry-making techniques. Soon after, he founded his namesake Collective and spent time throughout the 70s and 80s alongside local artisans. While he perfected these techniques, he simultaneously developed a business model for eco-conscious, small-scale jewelry production.

Over the next several decades, the company grew -- opening its first flagship store and later additional stores across the world.
