Their Love Story
Sean and Gillian got engaged on a little road trip vacation they took in Colorado. Sean found a beautiful sunset overlook called Sapphire Point, where he waited until sunset and got down on one knee to propose. There was even a heart-shaped cloud on their way to the overlook!!
Gillian said YES (of course) and they had a wonderful rest of the vacation skiing and hiking in the mountains. Sean had Gillian's engagement ring made at Henne. Henne worked with Sean to create an engagement ring using a Montana Sapphire that Gillian's dad and she had found 15 years ago while digging through a bag of gravel they had bought from a Montana mine for fun. Sean had the stone re-cut and made into an absolutely perfect ring, which fits close to the finger and doesn't stick out too much, allowing Gillian to wear it during her work as a physician. He worked on all the perfect small details on the ring with Henne, and Gillian shares that it is everything she hoped it would be!
About the Engagement Ring
Henne worked with Sean to create a 14K white gold bezel-style ring with twisted shank. The center stone after the re-cut became a hexagonal rose-cut Montana sapphire, which lays close to the finger thanks to the bezel setting. The twisted band features 16 round brilliant cut diamonds alternating with 16 cornflower blue sapphires.
