How They Met:
Ironically, this Henne couple first met when playing matchmaker with Joshua’s roommate and Claire’s suitemate (who are now married). Now, Joshua and Claire are heading toward wedding bells of their own!
The Big Moment:
Some of life’s most significant moments have the most ordinarily beautiful settings. Joshua and Claire’s Big Moment began with an overnight camping trip to Cherry Springs State Park for stargazing. Joshua said that the cloud models predicted that the sky would clear by 10pm but around 10:30 it was still overcast. So, they went ahead and walked out to the big open field and set up lots of blankets. For the next hour, the couple froze under a sky of clouds. But right at 11:30pm, the clouds opened and the stars were absolutely magical. They took some pictures and during one of them, Joshua grabbed the ring out of his backpack. After setting up the camera to take another one, he surprised her by popping the question and holding out a shining Henne diamond. She said yes!
Future Plans:
Joshua is currently applying to PhD programs in Nuclear Engineering. Claire plans on working at a classical Christian school. Though they’re still nailing down the destination of their wedding, they do know it will take place sometime in summer.
Why Henne?
Joshua and Claire chose Henne for their engagement ring because they are Grovers. Multiple friends and family members recommended Hennes to them, as well. And they weren’t disappointed! Props to sales associate Ally Evancho for helping the couple navigate the ring selection and purchasing process. We’re still going gaga for Claire’s gorgeous ring!
