Mary and Jon met their first week at medical school in Iowa. It did not take long until they were dating! This past year has been one they will never forget. In March, they both matched together at the Foot and Ankle Residency Program at West Penn Hospital. And then in May, they took a trip to the Bahamas, during which Jon set up a special dinner and proposed at sunset. She said yes!

Jon and Mary both graduated from medical school the next week, and were able to celebrate with all of their friends and family. They are so excited to start their new jobs and life together in Pittsburgh!

The Ring:

Mary had hinted at a few different ring designs during throughout their relationship. She mentioned that she wanted either an oval or a cushion cut diamond with a simple band and a hidden halo. Jon was very new to this market and did not know what exactly that all meant, but with John's help they were able to sit down together and create what Mary and he had both envisioned. The ring was perfect and Mary absolutely loves it!

Why Henne?

John Henne has helped Jon's family pick out special jewelry pieces for years. He saw the way John treats all his clients and took the time to help his dad pick out pieces for his mom. It was always a very clear decision where Jon would buy his fiancé's engagement ring.
