How They Met:
Gerhardt and Ari met at a bar in Market Square when they both ordered the same beer. They hit it off immediately and realized they have a lot in common -- especially a love of traveling. They went to San Francisco together about a month into their relationship and have been traveling ever since to places like Las Vegas, Florida, New Mexico, Maryland, Italy, and Spain.
The proposal:
Their most recent adventure was a two-week trip to South Africa. On the second day Gerhardt and Ari had just returned from a safari, and they were enjoying the secluded bush lodge in Pilanesberg National Park, talking about how much they enjoy their life together. That's when he popped the question. Ari laughed, cried, and said "yes" all in the same breath!
Looking ahead:
True to a couple who loves to travel, Gerhardt and Ari plan to have a destination wedding in 2018 surrounded by close family and friends.
