Felipe and Chad have an amazing story. They were introduced by friends and hung out at a White Sox game despite Chad not being a huge fan of sports. For nearly two years their relationship grew, and they began to plan a future together. A job led them to settle in Pittsburgh, and in November 2017 Felipe asked Chad to spend the rest of his life with him.
How They Met:
Felipe and Chad met in Milwaukee during Labor Day weekend, when Felipe was there for a softball tournament. At the time, Chad had been living there for about 10 years, while Felipe was living in Chicago. They were introduced to one another by friends at a bar and ended up talking the entire night. Felipe asked Chad for his number before leaving the bar and they ended up texting the next day before meeting up with friends. The following week Chad came to Chicago and they went to a White Sox game, and from that weekend on, they tried to see each other once a week.
The proposal:
After about 8 months, Chad decided to move to Chicago so they could be closer together, and they began to plan for the future with potential job locations. Felipe ended up getting a job in West Virginia, so they settled on living in downtown Pittsburgh. Felipe began to seriously think about asking Chad to marry him but would joke to others that he didn't know his ring size. So one day they walked by Henne Jewelers and decided to go in.
At midnight on November 21, 2017 (Felipe's birthday), Felipe asked Chad to spend the rest of his life with him. They stood on their rooftop looking out at the beautiful Pitt buildings, and Felipe said, "You know what would be the best gift you could ever give me? Would you marry me?" Chad said yes!
Looking ahead:
Felipe and Chad will be getting married on March 8, 2019. Their love story is still being written, but they can't wait to see what happens and are so happy to have found one another.
