From a bagel date to a holiday proposal in Houston, Dan and Lisa are an amazingly fun couple who love surprises. Dan popped the question over the Thanksgiving holiday, with Lisa’s family witnessing the intimate moment.
How They Met
Dan and Lisa met on a Coffee Meets Bagel date about 3 weeks after Lisa moved to Pittsburgh to become a resident physician at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. It was the best first date they’d ever been on, and they haven’t stopped surprising each other since!
The Proposal
Dan and Lisa went to visit Lisa’s family in Houston, Texas for the Thanksgiving holiday. Dan had hidden a bottle of champagne up on the hill overlooking the lake in her sister’s back yard. Dan kept the proposal short and simple, which Lisa claims is good because they were both crying!
They popped the bottle of champagne, and the cork flew 30 feet into the lake – adding a few more laughs to the intimate moment.
Lisa’s whole family was able to watch the proposal, and then greeted them when they returned inside with applause, tears, hugs, and a champagne toast.
