How They Met:
Congrats to a very special Henne Couple, Chris and Lauren! These two originally met in Chicago while doing post grad work. Later, they both moved South and now live in Atlanta, GA.
THE Big Moment:
Chris planned a beautiful engagement in Charleston, SC (their favorite place) on a boat ride at sunset.
If anyone knows Charleston weather, they know it’s unpredictable. Friday night at sunset (the day of the planned engagement) there was a horrible storm and an expected 3 inches of rain! Chris held firm to his plan and somehow got Lauren on the boat (despite her complaints that it was too stormy for a boat ride). Chris got down on one knee and Lauren said yes (and was shocked - "I mean, who proposes in the middle of the ocean during a torrential downpour?!") The photographer was hiding in the boat and captured the moment.
They celebrated the rest of the weekend with friends and family over oysters, beer and lots of laughs about the weather. It was the perfect weekend!

Why Henne?
John Henne has been Lauren's family's jeweler for years. John has worked with her dad on jewelry for her mom and has been a part of many special moments. She knew she wanted her engagement ring from Henne Jewelers and Chris and John designed the perfect ring together - an beautiful oval-cut diamond solitaire ring set in 18K yellow gold with platinum prongs.
